Zofen

The idea is simple: mainstream productivity apps ignore how observant/traditional users actually live — they don't know what Shabbat is, don't understand why the weekly Torah portion matters, and punish rest with broken streaks. Zofen is Things 3 and Duolingo crossed with the Jewish calendar: tasks and habits work with tradition instead of against it.

What's inside:

  • Tasks & projects — kanban with manual ordering, checklists with progress bars, deadlines, milestones, a work-time journal, links to people and notes.
  • Routines with weekly schedules — "gym Mon·Wed·Fri," completion streaks, "N-day" goals. Streaks are Shabbat-protected: a missed Saturday never breaks the chain — rest is part of the path, not a failure.
  • Exact Hebrew calendar — computed via Intl (en-u-ca-hebrew), no external API, with a Gregorian ⇄ Hebrew month-view toggle.
  • Weekly Torah portion with classical Rashi commentary, an AI-generated reflection, and a reading-streak system.
  • Hebrew word of the day and a daily Tanakh verse — a curated pool of 104 passages, deterministic rotation so every device shows the same verse on the same day — plus Shir shel yom, the traditional psalm of the weekday.
  • AI coach grounded in Torah and King Solomon's wisdom (Proverbs, Ecclesiastes) — fully personalized to each user's own data, with persistent conversation history and a full voice mode: speech recognition plus neural text-to-speech with a male/female voice choice, synced across web and mobile.
  • Gamification — XP, levels, achievements, a daily-goal ring, a "perfect days" calendar.
  • A PARA-style knowledge library, a personal CRM, and an admin panel with growth and retention analytics.
